This was written following the tragic death of Ado’s younger Son William. “Music and writing have helped me come to terms with such a loss. I hope my music will reach out to you and touch the hearts of those who have lost a loved one regardless of the time or circumstances” This album also expresses other themes in the full spectrum of life including the story of the Iolaire and the simple and joyful experiences in life which have all contributed to the making.

This takes us on a journey through his Homeland in the Western Isles of Scotland evoking vivid images and storytelling inspired by the culture and landscape. Nomadic by nature Ado has travelled the world with his gilding and restoration work and lived in London for many years though never forgetting his Homeland and his Music.

Upcoming Music
Ado has written many new songs since then although not yet recorded. Alongside his own songs he also performs many popular cover songs and often plays to support charity events.
Ado has played at many venues over the years including supporting Runrig, Marianne Faithful and Davy Spillane and at 10 Downing Street in support of Drugfam. He has also played to raise funds for his local group of The Compassionate Friends.
Ado’s other Son Hans is a very talented Actor and Singer Songwriter. He has been a great support to Ado in both live and recorded events. Hans made a music documentary with and about Ado on his utube channel. He also facilitated their Ceilidhs put on by Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar during lock down.
